House rules and policies
The Tahoe basin is under high fire risk year-round, which is why smoking is refused everywhere on our properties, outdoor areas included. Early check-in and late check-out depend on the cleaning schedule that day — ask us 48 hours ahead and we'll do what we can.
Getting to Evergreen Hideout
Reno-Tahoe International is the closest commercial airport to every home we manage. Sacramento and the Bay Area are the common drives, all of them over a mountain pass.
CA-89 and CA-28 around the lake get chain controls in winter storms, and Donner Summit on I-80 closes on short notice. Check conditions before you leave — Caltrans for California and nvroads.com for Nevada — and plan to arrive before dark on check-in day in ski season.

Cozy home at the top of a forested hill. We had a comfortable stay and would recommend this place to King's Beach visitors.
Great stay for 8 adults! Conveniently located, close to Safeway, Kings Beach restaurants, and North Star resort. Living room and dining area was spacious and cozy at the same time. No garage access but the driveway is easy to park your car(s), even in icy conditions. Thanks for the stay!

Beautiful and spacious home in a convenient kings beach location. Big beds were comfy and kitchen was pretty well kitted out. The fireplace was easy to light and we enjoyed the cozy fire we made. House was clean and the host was responsive.
