House rules and policies
The Tahoe basin is under high fire risk year-round, which is why smoking is refused everywhere on our properties, outdoor areas included. Early check-in and late check-out depend on the cleaning schedule that day — ask us 48 hours ahead and we'll do what we can.
Getting to Grand Regency Retreat
Reno-Tahoe International is the closest commercial airport to every home we manage. Sacramento and the Bay Area are the common drives, all of them over a mountain pass.
CA-89 and CA-28 around the lake get chain controls in winter storms, and Donner Summit on I-80 closes on short notice. Check conditions before you leave — Caltrans for California and nvroads.com for Nevada — and plan to arrive before dark on check-in day in ski season.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was very cozy, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made us feel right at home. The host was very attentive and responded quickly whenever we had questions. You could tell a lot of care and attention went into making the space welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
We had a great stay at this place. Plenty of space to spread out, with a large kitchen and living space. There is no reception in the area, but the WiFi worked really well. Overall a great experience.
The location was fantastic, just a 6 min drive to King's beach. We ended up going there every night to get dinner so that was very convenient. The cabin was spacious and we especially appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with more cooking supplies than expected. The host is very responsive and even provided a pack & play for us to use upon request. The beds were very comfortable. It was hot at night and we ended up using almost all the fans there were provided. This would have been a perfect stay but docking one star off for the strong smoke smell, especially in the rooms. Our baby was coughing a lot and our clothes all smelled like smoke. Flagged this to the host but there wasn't much he can do at the time. Suggested a deep cleaning before the next guests so hopefully that's improved.

A very cozy place, clean and very quiet, very beautiful you feel at home
We really enjoyed our stay! The home was lovely and tidy, with no clutter, making us feel right at home. Its perfect location just a short drive into town was so convenient.
