What makes Incline Village the right base for your trip?
A quiet residential community on the Nevada side of the North Shore, well away from the congestion of South Lake Tahoe. No state income tax on the Nevada side, and Diamond Peak is the local hill.
- Diamond Peak Ski Resort is the in-town mountain, with lake views from most runs.
- Lakeshore Boulevard is the flattest, most scenic walking and cycling route in the area.
- Burnt Cedar and Incline Beach are IVGID resident-access beaches — rental guests generally cannot use them, so plan on Sand Harbor or Hidden Beach.
- Mount Rose Highway (NV-431) is the direct route to Reno and needs chains or snow tires in winter.
This home files its occupancy tax in Washoe County, Nevada.
How far is Skylake Serenity Retreat from the places you'll actually go?
Distances are straight-line from this home's own coordinates, so the road distance is longer — mountain roads wind. We've left drive times out rather than estimate them; call us and we'll tell you what the drive is really like in the season you're coming.
House rules and policies
The Tahoe basin is under high fire risk year-round, which is why smoking is refused everywhere on our properties, outdoor areas included. Early check-in and late check-out depend on the cleaning schedule that day — ask us 48 hours ahead and we'll do what we can.
Getting to Skylake Serenity Retreat
Reno-Tahoe International is the closest commercial airport to every home we manage. Sacramento and the Bay Area are the common drives, all of them over a mountain pass.
Mount Rose Highway (NV-431) from Reno needs chains or snow tires through the winter and can close on short notice in a storm. Check conditions before you leave — Caltrans for California and nvroads.com for Nevada — and plan to arrive before dark on check-in day in ski season.
Booking direct with MG Vacation Rentals
Murat Gocmen and the MG Vacation Rentals team personally manage the homes on this site across Lake Tahoe and Truckee. Booking here means dealing with that local team directly rather than a platform queue — the same people who clean, maintain and inspect this home are the ones who answer the phone during your stay.
It also means no platform service fee on the guest side, which is typically 12–15% of the booking on the big sites. You pay the nightly rate, cleaning, occupancy tax, and card processing at cost.

great host to work with
Great place! Wonderful views! Great location! Loved that I could park my boat outside. We came here with three other couples and loved our time. Would love to come back!
Very nice and clean place in a beautiful location. Living room with patio are very spacious and has a perfect setting for a family enviorment. The views are incredible. My family loved the place and we would definitely return.
beautiful cabin with incredible views. clean and relaxing. communication was clear, easy and fast. we highly recommend this place.
We truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! Thank you Mg for your quick response to my texts and for accommodating us. We appreciated it!
Mg was very responsive and flexible. The cabin was spacious, comfortable and very clean. It was convenient to everything in Incline Village and the veiw was one of the best at the Lake. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful home.
Such a great gathering place for our party of eight. The kitchen was gorgeous and well equipped to make meals. The grill worked perfectly. The common area living space was very family friendly. Bedrooms were on lower levels with beautiful views and privacy. Highly recommended this spot for a North Tahoe vacation.
We have stayed here a couple of times and it’s one of our favorites places. Gorgeous views lots of space we had 8 adults and never felt crammed. Waking up having your coffee with that view never gets old.
This home is amazing! The location, layout, finishes and views were everything we were hoping for. Mg was very helpful and responsive, responding immediately to any questions we had. The home is located in an upscale private area but is very close to shops, restaurants, the beach and other activities. We were able to easily explore kings beach, sand harbor state park, tahoe city, south lake tahoe and more. The best part was returning to the home for a lovely sunset view from the back deck. It truly is a magical place! It was just my husband and I on this trip, but we cannot wait to return with our children soon.
This home was exactly as pictured, very clean and comfortable with plenty of room for our family of 7 adults. MG the host was very communicative and available for any questions I had. The instructions were clear, the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, spices etc. It was a beautiful home, and we enjoyed staying in Incline Village. It was a very convenient location close to a bike rental right near the Tahoe East Shore Trail (the most beautiful bike path ever) at the Hyatt Regency, a super market within one or two miles, Incline Bowl and a beautiful 5-45 mins drive to beaches, boat rentals and lakeside restaurants
